You can describe the heliocentric system and Sulbasutras, use the Katapayadi system and the Hindu calendar, explain engineering in the Vedas and Sanskrit's adaptability to computer languages, and apply the six Pramanas, Tarka and the treatment of fallacies.
The six Pramanas are the unit's most transferable content: a formal account of what counts as a valid source of knowledge — perception, inference, comparison, testimony and the rest — which is epistemology by any name. Tarka's induction and deduction, and the catalogue of fallacies, map closely onto what a modern logic course teaches, and comparing the two traditions is more instructive than studying either alone. The Sulbasutras give geometric constructions for altar building that include the Pythagorean relationship, and the claim about Sanskrit and computer languages is worth examining critically rather than repeating.

Early astronomical models placing the sun at the centre. The evidence and the reasoning are what matter, not the question of who was first.
Sulbasutras and their geometric constructions
Geometric constructions for building altars, which contain results usually attributed elsewhere. Working one construction is worth more than reading about several.
Katapayadi
A scheme for encoding numbers as letters, which let numerical data be carried in verse. It is an elegant solution to a real transmission problem.
Engineering in the Vedas
Engineering knowledge as it appears in the earliest texts. Read with attention to what the text says as opposed to what is read into it.
Adaptability of Sanskrit to computer languages and related commands
The proposed suitability of one language for programming, which is the most contested item in the course. Treat the structural argument and the practical conclusion separately.
The Hindu calendar
The calendar, which combines lunar and solar cycles and needs real astronomy to work. It is a good demonstration of applied computation.
The six Pramanas in Indian logic
The recognised means of valid knowledge, which is a formal epistemology. Comparing this list with modern scientific method is the useful exercise.
Scientific method applied to therapeutics
How the method above was applied to medicine. It shows a systematic approach rather than an ad hoc one.
Fallacies; Tarka - induction and deduction
The catalogue of reasoning errors, and the treatment of inference. This is the most directly transferable material in the course.
Ayurvedic biology and the definition of health
The biological framework and its definition of health, which is notably not merely the absence of disease. It closes the course on a definition worth thinking about.
