Handing a workbook to someone else is a test most workbooks fail, and this topic covers what passing looks like: a documentation sheet naming the source, owner and refresh steps, consistent naming, no stray or hidden sheets, and a run of Document Inspector to strip personal data before the file leaves. It closes the module because hygiene is what makes the earlier work durable. The common confusion is mysterious file size, where a workbook balloons because formatting was applied to a million empty rows, and finding the cause is part of the topic.

One sheet can state where the data came from, who owns it, how to refresh it, and what was assumed. It answers the questions you would otherwise be phoned about. It takes ten minutes.
Consistent naming; no stray sheets, no hidden surprises
Consistent naming and no leftover experimental sheets are what make a file inspectable. Hidden sheets that matter are a particular hazard for whoever inherits it.
Removing personal data before sharing; Document Inspector
Files carry author names, comments and revision traces that you may not intend to send. The inspector finds and removes them, and running it before sharing is the habit.
File size, and what is making it large
Workbooks grow large for a small number of reasons, usually formatting applied to whole columns or images stored at full resolution. Knowing the causes makes the fix quick.
