7.3 Swara passages married to words
Play a swarajathi's swara passages and its sahitya, and explain how the two fit the same line.
The same melodic line is sung twice, once on the swara names and once on the words. Hearing that they are the same line is the idea the whole form exists to teach, and it is what makes the varnam comprehensible later.
