5.4 The alankaras: Jhampa and Triputa

Play the Jhampa and Triputa alankaras, and hear how an uneven cycle feels.

Jhampa has a laghu of seven, an anudrutam and a drutam — ten beats divided very unevenly. Triputa in this set has a laghu of three and two drutams, which is seven. Both cycles refuse to fall into fours, which is exactly why they are here.
